Santas on the run at Port Sunlight River Park

23rd December 2016

Festive runners put their best feet forward at Port Sunlight River Park on Sunday 18th December in a special Santa Dash.

As part of the Winter Health Runs series, supported by Subway, 22 runners took on a 5k race at the Bromborough park, braving chilly conditions and earning themselves a mug of hot chocolate at the finish line.

Park Ranger Anne Litherland said the event was a real success, building on the first race in the series last month.

“Everyone was so positive about running in the park and it was great to see all those festive outfits. So many people tell us how much they love using Port Sunlight River Park to be active – one has even used our little hill to prepare for a marathon on Mount Snowdon!”

The next race in the series is on Sunday 29th January. Visit www.psrphealthrun.co.uk for more details and to sign up.
