Appeal for volunteers at Pleasley Pit Trust Café

17th February 2016

Volunteers at the Pleasley Pit Trust’s industrial heritage project are appealing for people to help at its café.

Volunteers can work on the day of their choice and are asked to help out from 10am-2pm. The role would involve cooking, operating tills, serving and washing pots and training will be given.

Anyone interested should talk to Molly Beech at the café or any volunteer.

Pleasley Colliery was scheduled as an Ancient Monument in 1996 and is being developed as a mining heritage centre by the Land Trust. Go to www.pleasleypittrust.org.uk for details of the project.
